On Greg Pruitt's 1971 Season at Oklahoma Where the Dude Had 196 Carries for 1,760 Yards (a Gaudy 9.0 Yards per Carry) and 18 Scores

He probably earned the Heisman Trophy but being that they never gave it to underclassmen back then, he only came in third (behind Pat Sullivan and Ed Marinaro, a damned Ivy Leaguer). He did do a bit better the following year nailing down second place (this despite the fact that his numbers went way down: less than a 1,000 yards rushing) so I guess that that's some consolation. Maybe.
