Quote For the Day

"The reason I am not a politician, is that I want to understand." Raymond Aron......I like the hell out of this quote and, yeah, I'm sending it out to all of the conservatives who mindlessly supported the Republican (and, yes, unpaid for) tax cuts to the wealthy AND to all of the liberals who mindlessly supported the Democratic (and, yes, incredibly poorly constructed) stimulus package. This one's for you, good people.

Will, I applaud you. One of the few people I know who will point out the foibles and lies and transgressions of both sides.

I lean a little too far left to do that, and what's more tend to fly off the handle easier than a Jay Schroeder pass used to fly off his fingertips when he QB'd the Raiders.

When I grow up I hope to be like you and see both sides clearly too, although at 59 and still immature I've got to wonder when that day will arrive.

Thanks for the kind words. Oso. Feel free to fly off the handle any time......Jay Schroeder LOL - not exactly a Kenny Stabler, now was he? Or a John Hadl ('member those bombs to Lance Alworth?).

I do remember Hadl to Alworth. Hey did you catch Boise St-Va Tech?

That kid QB for BSU is extremely capable, and tough for a skinny kid. Last year he had a 39-3 TD to pick ratio.

With Schroeder we considered a 3 pick game extraordinary.

I was torn. I've always been a Hokie fan but, yeah, Boise's a very compelling story, too. It's too bad that Utah and BYU have left the Mountain West. With Boise joining that conference, it would have been an awesome league (TCU and Air Force also being perennially good).
