The stimus/bailout/handout waste was atrocious under Bush... and amazingly has been much worse under Obama.
I'm glad though, that we had GOP "obstructionism" (I.e. the intended, and Constitional balance that keeps us from being a monarchy) and the stimulus was smaller than Obama wanted. That also meant less debt and less job loss.
Seems everyone enjoys playing the game. As for repubs, just how fucking much was wasted in Iraq as a result of Bush 2 and what we got was a further destabilized middle east and a gargantuan increase in debt.
Oh, you won't get an argument from me on that one. I was against the Iraq War (both of them, actually - I may have been wrong on the first one) from day one and was even against the Afghan War once that sucker morphed from a counter-terrorism mission into a nation-building one (and don't forget that it was Obama who surged in that one).
RN: I have come to generally agree with your assessment on Iraq. Thanks to rational arguments.
The "cost of war" was about 1/4 of the total of the debt during the Bush years. Take it entirely away, and the Bush admin was still grossly fiscally irresponsible.

Still, it was a pretty big bonanza for big tech, big finance, big concrete, big ag, big pharma, etc..

The fucking claptrap and BS is frankly amazing.
But by all means carry on.
BTW, the stimulus was dwarfed by the cost in treasure and life lost in ten years in Iraq.
