On Why Botswana Has Succeeded to a Much Greater Degree than the Rest of Black Africa
I think that it boils down to three reasons. Because a) 90% of the population consists of just two tribes that seem to have a peaceful history between them (i.e., they haven't been burdened by multiculturalism), b) the white population that lives there has essentially been left unfettered, and c) the government has borrowed to a significant extent from Western canon and so the economic freedom there dwarfs the rest of the continent...……………………………………………………………………….Of course the really unfortunate part of this is that South Africa could have easily adopted some of that Western canon, too, in that a coalition government of Mangosuthu Buthelezi and General Constand Viljoen would have brought about far more economic freedom than the Communist-soaked ANC regimes of Mandela, Mbeki, and Zuma...…......but then that would have obliterated the narrative and who had the balls to do that, I guess?
