Contra O'Reilly's Person of the Year (12 Days too Late)

I was going to make it a group award with a few of my favorite independent journalists (Michael Tracey, Bari Weiss, Glenn Greenwald, Matt Taibbi, Aaron Mate, etc.) but there's something about Michael Shellenberger's heterodox nature (environmentalist, writer, politician......of sorts, and journalist just being a few of his hats) and open-mindedness that compels me to single him out. If only he had been able to get douche-bag Newsom on that debate stage one on one, my sole regret.
