To Gore With Love

"Al Gore and U.N. climate boss, Yvo de Boer, tell us that the world needs to go on an energy diet. Well, I have news for them. Africans are already on an energy diet. We're starving."......Fiona Kobusingye, Ugandan activist/Congress of Racial Equality.

Speaking of diet and wealth and all. it turns out that Al Gore, a quintessential example of a "what's in it for me?" politician is worth $300 million dollars. This makes him worth more than Mitt Romney.

Gore, a typical "corporate Democrat" like Keith Olbermann (advocating Democratic Party causes while making many millions by their involvement with corporations), also receives hundreds of thousands of dollars in handouts from the US government. A true welfare queen of great appetite.

This in the news: Andrew Cuomo, the architect of the terrible housing policies that brought about the economic collapse a few years ago, has blamed the Boston bombing on global warming.

This is hardly any more silly than Pat Robertson and his thing about the course of hurricanes being directed by prayers.

Faith-based poppycockery.

This woman also said that "Gore uses more electricity in a week than 28 million Ugandans together use in a year." I would definitely have to fact-check that one but her point is exceedingly chilling nonetheless.

Do we know how much Mitt Romney is worth? I've heard reports he may be a billionaire. And he never even released one complete year of his tax returns, let alone the second year he promised... unless I missed it.

And Keith Olbermann isn't advocating anything anymore. Al Gore fired his ass and he hasn't been able to find employment since. I heard he wanted to go back to his sports-commentary gig but was told to take a hike.

From the look of it, Gore might have accidentally scarfed a few Ugandans along the way too.

I doubt that we have to take a collection for any of these fellows; Romney, Gore, Olbermann.......Well, maybe Olbermann.

By the way, Will, your choice of "boss" does lend itself to a Mafia interepretation:

"Al Gore and U.N. climate boss, Yvo de Boer..."

Perhaps what we are dealing with here is organized clime.

That was Fiona's word but I obviously don't have a problem with it.

We are taking up a collection for Gore. Whether we want to or not. He personally get a nice fat handout of hundreds of thousands from the federal government every year.

Perhaps he uses this to fund huge arrays of millions of 100w incandescent bulbs which are switched on and glow 24/7. Hard to imagine how else he could keep is massive "carbon footprint" so big. Maybe the man burns coal as a hobby too. Or he flies a fleet of jumbo jets down to Manaus every Friday to observe the rain forest. Who knows.
