On the Assertion that Zimmerman Started the Fist-Fight

Well, if he did, it was one big swing and a miss.

I think you're missing the point Will. The dude should have acted prudently and followed the good advice of the dispatcher and left it to the police who were on the way.

GZ, a very imprudent and as I've said elsewhere a quite stupid man.

I stand by that statement...

I agree that he made a mistake. But following somebody doesn't (in the eyes of the law) give the other person license to commit felonious assault. Zimmerman could have called Martin the n-word and the only legal thing that Martin could have done in return was call him a name.

If Zimmerman would have called Martin the N-word, it would have been evidence of racial profiling. As it is, there was none at all.

Based on the tape, it doesn't sound like he was even sure of Martin's race at first.

A certain person at Les's blog is basing their claim that GZ was engaging in "racial profiling" pretty much on the fact that GZ answered the dispatcher's question about Trayvon.

I heard that Zimmewrman once profiled his mother 'cause she's a quarter black.
