On Chuck Hagel Versus Dick Cheney


While I'll admit that Mr. Hagel didn't exactly hit it out of the park last week (at his confirmation hearings), I would gladly still take him and his two Purple Hearts over Cheney and his five deferments any day. Any day.

Probably just as well that Darth maneuvered his five deferments. His
target selection ability would preclude active service....
