Miscellaneous 143

1) While I think that Romney has every right to be critical of the way that the President has handled this Libya crisis, I also think that he's missing something here. It's not so much as to whether or not this was a terror attack. OF COURSE IT WAS A TERROR ATTACK! Any time that people get blown up and senselessly killed it's a terror attack. The real issues here are whether or not it was a) premeditated, b) al Qaeda related, c) preventable, and d) covered up by the administration. Those are the things that Romney really needs to harp on and hopefully he can avoid the President's semantical parries by doing so.............2) Obama's best punch-line at the Al Smith dinner tonight? I would probably have to go with, "Win or lose, this is going to be my final campaign and so I want to drink it in. Unfortunately, Mayor Bloomberg will only let me have 16 ounces of it."............3) Romney's best punch-line at the Al Smith dinner tonight? He actually had quite a few but I would probably have to go with, "In fact I can see the headlines for this event tomorrow; 'Obama Embraced by Catholics, Romney Dines with Rich People'."

Ole Rusty is a bit surprized how this election season has evolved.

Two months ago I would have said Romney was dead in the water...now it looks like he may very well win the damn thing.

My personal poll shows a Romney victory because Ema Nyton has'nt posted her perceived Obama victory numbers in a month....which says poor Ema now has doubts an Obama win is on the horizon.

Its haed to believe the results of the first debate has changed so many minds.

I honestly think a goodly ammount of voters were just looking for a reason to walk away from Obama. In their hearts they knew Obama was'nt the guy they voted for last time. They now realize what a lot of us knew....he was an imcompetent bullshit artist, who gave a very good speech yet had'nt even run a candy store.

Four years ago a majority of americans voted the first black man to the highest office in the land.....even though he was unqualified for said office.....now a sizeable number of these voters are having issues turning their back towards him even though he's been a failure at his job.

I'm very disappointed in Obama, too, Russ. But I gotta tell ya', if Romney (if he's elected) turns out to be a second coming of George W. Bush, that isn't exactly going to be all that boffo, either. Just sayin'.

If Romney got us back to Bush's average annual deficits, gas prices, and unemployment, he will be a hero elected in a landslide.

Yeah, those parts of Bush wouldn't be bad.

Doubt Romney would want to emulate
Bush. Remember, he went from a high of 90% during 911 all the way down to 29% during his tenure.

Yeah, both he and the country had a roller-coaster ride.
