Miscellaneous 80

1) Bob Gates said something to NATO this week that no American official has had the guts to say before. He essentially told the leaders of these countries, "Enough" and that they were going to have to start paying for their own defense (some of it anyway)/contribute significantly more to these supposedly multilateral missions. It was a much needed admonition and, yes, hopefully his successors, whether they be Democrat or Republican, follow it through..............2) Just for the record, folks, I wouldn't want MY teenage daughter in the same room with Vitter OR Weiner. Hell no! I mean, I know that it's sport these days on partisan blogs and radio - who's worse; Vitter or Weiner, but, to me, a creep is a creep, and it doesn't matter one iota whether it's a D or an R on his/her forehead.............3) President Parry? Are you frigging kidding me? I mean, I know that President Obama hasn't exactly been a Rushmore candidate and all (and, neither, probably, would a President Romney) but, please, this Parry fellow is bonkers (either that or he's trying to court Palin/Bachmann). Surely the Republicans can do better than him.............4) It (a President Parry) would almost be funny if it weren't such a stark possibility. Another fundamentalist Texas governor as President/leader of the free world - yikes, huh?

You don't even need to include "Texas" in that statement to make it a "yikes".

I was going to say, Southern, instead of Texas, but really wanted to underscore the similarities. This might even be worse, though. Bush was at least a pretty decent/bipartisan Governor.

Be a bit careful before you throw rocks at Gov.Perry.
Did you know Texas created 253,900 jobs from Jan.2010--- Jan.2011? Triple the next closest.
Did you know the state of Texas is the nations top exporter, for the past nine years?
Did you know Texas is home to more Fortune 1000 companies then any other state?
Seems to me thats a much better record then Obie has going. But,if you need a community organized get Barry not Gov.Perry,he's too busy putting people to work.Rick Perry is no light weight.Watch out Obie...watch out.
Perry/Rubio....Perry/Ryan....Perry/Christie....

Rusty Shackelford said...

Oh yea.....Texas sent more convicted murderer's to meet their maker then any other state.

Jerry Critter said...

Here are 10 things that Perry does not want you to know.

Dervish Z Sanders said...

So Rusty, what is Texas waiting for? Why don't they secede already? Then Perry wouldn't have to run for president... because he would be the president... the first president of the sovereign nation of Texas.

That's some list Jerry! I sure as hell would never move to Texas. Texas is one hell of a crappy state (thanks to Republicans like Rick Perry).

Elect Perry president and watch him attempt to Texas-ify the entire country... NO THANKS!

Rusty Shackelford said...

Oh WD....you're so sillly.

Mordechai said...

Elect Perry president and watch him attempt to Texas-ify the entire country.

Like Georgie W already did?

Rusty Shackelford said...

while Rusty gets his statistics from the Larbor Dept......the Critter gets his talking points from Think Progress...hmmmmmm,makes one wonder about the critters credibility.

Jerry Critter said...

When you can't dispute the facts, you dispute the source. Right Rusty? So what is incorrect with their 10 items?

Rusty Shackelford said...

It seems as if you lefties have a condition know as "fearofperry."
I hear it pretty contagious especially among those who think pink.

Mordechai said...

Still cannot REFUTE the FACTS eh rusty?

Rusty Shackelford said...

Since you asked,

1-"likely innocent" not proven
2- States rights
3- Again,states rights
4- OMG,he has an opinion
5- He's pro-life,thats a good thing.
6- Budget cuts/spending control
7- Again, the man has an opinion. You may not agree with it but the Texas voters sure do.
8- Proves beyond a doubt that he's a smart guy.
9- Threat to D.C.,shows he has courage.
10- Due to illegals.

Rusty Shackelford said...

Give it a couples hours.I'm sure Media Matters and Crooks and Liars will have more talking points you you guys.In the mean time....yawn.

Mordechai said...

1-"likely innocent" not proven

Which means the beyond a REASONABLE doubt threshold had been broken, the idea for governor clemency is to MAKE sure an injustice wasn't done, hence Perry FAILED in preventing a man which had reasonable doubt from being murdered by the state he lead.

PS rusty this little tidbit shows he wasn't guilty;

Five years after Willingham was executed, a report from a Texas Forensic Science Commission investigator found that the fire could not have been arson.

IE no arson, no crime, I guess you just missed that oner eh?

2- States rights

WRONG

PERRY WANTS TO REPEAL THE 16th AND 17th AMENDMENTS, ENDING DIRECT ELECTION OF U.S. SENATORS AND THE FEDERAL INCOME TAX:

1. Since it is a FEDERAL election for federal office, not a states rights issue, please try again.

2. Since it is a FEDERAL income tax, not a states rights issue, please try again.

epic fail #2

3- Again,states rights
Wrong again, FEDERAL programs, and the constitution gives congress control NOT a individual state, hence you fail again.

4- OMG,he has an opinion

Wrong, not an "opinion" when your shown violating EPA standards, nice try at dodging the real issue, but fail as usual

5- He's pro-life,thats a good thing.

So he KNOWS more then the woman and her doctor?

Nice to see the big government side of rusty rearing it's ugly littler head, since YOU agree with big government Perry when it comes to womans rights, and their individual medical choices.

6- Budget cuts/spending control

Sorry but a sitting gov could do better then cutting the weakest and poorest among his citizens, but GOPers never do that, they just protect the rich and powerful. still a weak defense of a heartless approach to burden the poor so he can enable the rich again.

7- Again, the man has an opinion. You may not agree with it but the Texas voters sure do.

I guess the legal term separation of power means nothing. Ignore the LAW because your extreme religious views dictate? kinda weak defense on constitutional grounds there rusty.

8- Proves beyond a doubt that he's a smart guy.

Actually rusty, proves beyond a doubt that he's a hypocrite. Too bad you cannot actually defend his blatant hypocrissy.

9- Threat to D.C.,shows he has courage.

PERRY SAID THAT TEXAS MIGHT HAVE TO SECEDE FROM THE UNITED STATES

Actually shows that just like 1861, anybody who wants to succeed is a traitor to the US, not a hero. Sorry but applauding succession ain't very patriotic rusty. But then again you always seemed to be a sunshine patriot, instead of a true America LOVE it or Leave it, as an individual not state.

10- Due to illegals.

Typical rusty lie, no proof just a bald faced lie.

Want proof rusty made it up?

More than one in four Texans lack coverage ....

Pop of Texas;

25,145,561 or 6,180,823 uninsured, which rusty claims are illegal immigrants,

But according the wiki;

As of 2004, the state has 3.5 million foreign-born residents, 15.6% of the state population, of which an estimated 1.2 million are illegal immigrants.

So as usual rusty is caught using his own personal hemorrhoid factiods instead of real provable facts. Again Epic Fail rusty.

Cannot actually defend with REAL facts so he stoops to attacking the messenger and simply making up shi-ite once again.

Rusty Shackelford said...

Oh anoymouse (Clif),you never succeed when you try to alter a persons words or actions. You're always a dismal failure.
Willingham was NEVER proven innocent...so stop lying.
Perry want states to control these issues. He feels, and rightly so that states can do a better job them the fed.
He has'nt drank the Al Gore Kool Aide.Good for him.
Again dufuss....Perry is pro life and he's giving the women a free sonogram.
He's cutting spending, something Obie could learn from. He's not giving the saved money to the rich...stop telling lies or your nose will grow.
Hell,if they seceded Texan's would be far better off then the average american.
I got my info from the Labor Dept.,you got yours from the most reliable source in the world...wiki.Yikes,you really are quite dumb anonyclif.Go back to Kaye's,they think you're smart....think how dumb they are.

Jerry Critter said...

Rusty,
It sounds like you agree that most of these 10 items about Perry are correct representations of his positions. You just happen to think they are good positions to take as opposed to bad positions.

Dervish Z Sanders said...

Rick Perry approved the murder of an innocent man for political reasons. I call for him to step down. Rick Perry failed in preventing a miscarriage of justice and should resign.

Murder for political reasons and advocating secession is, in my mind, MUCH MUCH worse than tweeting wiener pics.

Mordechai said...

Willingham was NEVER proven innocent...so stop lying.

sorry rusty BUT if the fire was proved NOT an arson, there was NO Crime.

I didn't lie, 5 years after Perry allowed an innocent man to be executed, the crime was shown NOT TO BE A Arson hence no crime,

To wit;

Five years after Willingham was executed, a report from a Texas Forensic Science Commission investigator found that the fire could not have been arson.

Hence Willingham couldn't be guilty if no crime was committed. If no crime was committed the US Constitution guarantee of innocent until proven guilty still holds rusty, he couldn't be guilty if no crime exists, hence innocent.

Try reading the whole paragraph rusty and you wouldn't look like the far right fringe tool you do here.

Any CONSTITUTIONAL change is a federal concern since until congress agree to amend the US Constitution nothing can change hence a federal issue not states right issue, try a little logic here, US Congress action federal action.

What your claiming is Perry wants control over a constitutionally designated federal issue. Illogical because the founders alreadey decided state goverours don't get that kind of controll.

The rest of your diatribe is simply an personal attack instead of actually defending REAL FACTS which is your usual meme.

Which means you still use personal attacks on the messenger instead of provable facts to hold up your made up factiods from your hemorrhoid region.

Rusty Shackelford said...

Oh my goodness,it seems anonymouse may very well have a terminal case of "fearofperry." As advanced as anony's case is there may not be much hope.As for Jerry Critter, his "fearofperry" seems far less severe...Jerry,take two asprin and get some rest.

WD,I will foward your suggestion that he resign to Gov.Perry's office.

Mordechai said...

Still no real credible defense eh rusty, just pathetic personal attacks?

Rusty Shackelford said...

Donkey, for what I hope is the final time.
253,900 jobs created in one year.I believe thats over 50% of the total jobs created in the U.S. in the same time period.
Nine straight years as the nations largest exporter.
Those are the issues that will win 2012 not some bleeding heart social issues like capital punishment, possible global warming or sonograms prior to abortion. To you those may be the most important issues on earth, but to Joe Main Street its 9.1% unemployment, staggering debt and a shitty housing market. So mouse if you want to shed tears over Willingham, states rights,Goreism's and budget cuts feel free to do so.The rest of us will continue to be concerned about the important issues.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

The last time that states seceded from the Union, America lost over 600,000 men. For Mr. Parry to even talk casually about this topic is totally beyond the pale, IMHO. Certainly the Republicans can find a pro-business candidate who doesn't talk in such loaded terms.

Rusty Shackelford said...

Will, you need to find a time machine and transport yourself back to 1955.

Jerry Critter said...

I am afraid that Rusty and I are in agreement on that one. Will wonders never cease.

Of course, there is one difference. I think it is bad, and I suspect that he thinks it is good.
