On a Large Chunk of the Modern Democratic Party Having Ideas and Positions that as Recently as 1990 Would Have Shocked 99.9% of Mainstream Democrats and Maybe Even Gotten Them Institutionalized

   You know the litany of foolishness; defunding the police, court packing, more tech censorship, reparations, open borders, wealth taxation, ending the electoral college, abolishing the Senate, gender affirming care, deep-sixing  the filibuster, abolishing prisons, allowing the government a monopoly on force, preferred pronouns, eight and a half month abortions, not prosecuting people who steal less than a thousand dollars, "space to destroy", the "Green New Deal", etc., etc..

   And, get this, it's gotten so bonkers that some of the more prominent Democrats are threatening to leave the party if they continue with their (essentially) communist agenda, people like John Fetterman, James Carville, Van Jones, and Julian Epstein (this after Tulsi Gabbard, Kirsten Sinema, and Joe Manchin have already bolted). Yeah apparently having Hassan Piker as the titular head of any organization comes not without it's downside.
