On Southern Victorian Slavery Versus African Slavery
The latter was infinitely worse in terms of a) duration (the fact that it lasted for thousands of years and actually continues to this day), b) prevalence, and c) cruelty and barbarism, and yet there has never been any condemnation, vitriol, or hand-ringing directed at the African people or self-flagellation amongst their ranks.
