On the Number of Times that the World's Reserve Currency Has Had it's Monetary Base Tripled

It's never happened until now (with the U.S. dollar) and because it's never happened before we have no idea what's going to transpire as the result of it. My suspicion is that it isn't going to be good (the fact that this isn't the Reichsmark, the Ruble, or the Argentine Peso here - all of which were inflated beyond all human comprehension by incompetent central planning schmucks at points during the prior century - and if the dollar shits the bed, then what?).
