What was my response to the fact that Randy Edsall (current Maryland and former UConn football coach) recently signed the 10th best all-purpose back/4.32 speedster, Justus Pickett, to his 2011 recruiting haul?
Edsall's an interesting coach, double b. In many ways he's the exact opposite of Swinney (Dabo, from Clemson). This, I'm saying, in that, while Swinney's an excellent recruiter who cannot coach, Edsall's an excellent coach who cannot recruit. But who knows, though, maybe at a higher profile school with a much richer recruiting ground Edsall finally will be able to recruit. Picket's certainly an excellent start.
