My problem with this post is that the African-American community is diverse, with many "leaders"... and of course many who don't follow leaders at all.
But more "leaders" anyway than just the one or two that will fit into sound bite summaries.
I'm sure Rev. Al, though, would be quite happy to be considered by you as the only one ;-)
That's a fair point but this is the one who gets (and seeks) the headlines (not to mention, turnouts) and the one who for some strange reason Obama seems to be seeking guidance from.
Remember also that Obama chose to go to a rally whose main purpose was the glorify and worship Farrakhan. A major lapse in judgement for which he has never apologized.
