  The most recent stats that I could find were from 2021 and being that the number had been rising at about 40% a year since the policy's rollout in 2017 my suspicion is that the percentage is higher now. Of course the most troubling statistic of all is that just 4% of the "applicants" for this "procedure" are turned down (the Netherlands by comparison turn away 13%), a signal that a lot of people who could possibly get their life together with counseling and other interventions are needlessly getting offed.
   As to whether I personally approve of this policy, in general, yeah, probably but there have to be much better safeguards than they're using in Canada because just like with the death penalty one "mistake" is one too many.
