On the Fact that a Significant Percentage of the Sources that Walter Brian Cisco Used for His Seminal Volume, "War Crimes Against Southern Civilians", Were Northern Newspapers, the Diaries of Union Officers, and Slave Journals
A lot of Lincoln apologists have tried to discredit people like Cisco by calling them neoconfederates and other names (as if simply giving the other side an opportunity to speak is tantamount to being a racist). But I challenge anybody to read this book (along with Charles Adams's, "When in the Course of Human Events") and still tell me that Lincoln was great leader who was fighting for a just cause (as opposed to a tyrant who didn't give rat's ass about the slaves and who only went to war to get his tariff money and protect his empire)....Any takers?
