On Jesse Jackson Claiming that the Elimination of Quotas by the University of California System in 1996 Would Promote a "Radical Resegregation of Our Schools and Reduction in Opportunity" and Even Represented (Hopefully You're Sitting for this) a Form of "Ethnic Cleansing"

Yeah, he was wrong. Yes, enrollment did drop slightly in the first few years but by year four it had recovered completely and even exceeded where it was initially. Granted, the distribution changed in that more black kids were enrolling at Santa Barbara, Riverside, Irvine, and Santa Cruz and less at Los Angeles and Berkeley but, being that the graduation figures at the latter two were what they were, this can only be a good thing. Piss on Jesse Jackson.
