On Why I Detest Radical Environmentalists

It's simple, folks. They've lost their humanitarian soul. They oppose DDT being sprayed on the inside of African huts (an act that could save hundreds of thousands of lives a year), all GMO including golden rice (a substance that could prevent millions of third-world children from going blind), cheap and abundant fossil fuels (which could all but eliminate indoor air pollution, not to mention provide electricity to millions). And they even oppose fluoride in the drinking water...........................................................................................Of course what makes me the sickest of all is that they engage in all of this advocacy from the most comfortable of circumstances possible; eschewing even the remote possibility that it is poverty which reigns as the real evil and that solar-panels on huts and mosquito nets simply aren't good enough (they certainly aren't good enough for their kids)....That, and they're so damned smug.

Please make a case, with appropriate links to convince me to consume GMO's. I am having difficulty finding reputable scientific sources recommending GMO's.

You don't consider the American Medical Association credible? You don't consider the National Academy of Sciences credible? You don't consider the 3,200 scientists (including 20 Nobel Prize winners) who signed that petition claiming that biotechnology was safe credible? You don't consider the French Academy of Sciences and Medicine credible? You don't consider former EU Environmental Minister, Margot Wallstroem credible?

And you are aware, aren't you, that all GMO crops are tested OVER AND OVER by the EPA, the FDA, and the Department of Agriculture, and that literally nothing gets to the market capriciously?

Didn-t say that. My education in the area makes me skeptical. I prefer organic natural.

Dr. Oz, the heart surgeon is skeptical as well.

Will: You got it. The other side is paranoia and based on superstition.

Dr Oz is a scammer/quack. Not good on any list.

The thing is, unless you do eat only organic, you're probably ingesting tons of it already (70% of corn, 30% of soybeans)....And what I hear that third world blindness can almost be totally eliminated, that's huge.
