On the Fact that the Brits Didn't Even Try and Defend the North of Singapore in the Days Leading Up to the Japanese Invasion (a Strategy that Was Based on a Belief that the Japanese Wouldn't Be Tenacious Enough to Traipse Through the Malaysian Jungle in an Effort to Surprise-Attack)
Yeah, the British and the Americans both thoroughly underestimated the Japanese; their strategy, tenacity, technology, etc., and even thought that the war would be won in a couple of weeks (the media being just as guilty as the moronic schmucks in government). Dick Cheney, anyone?
