On Netanyahu and Iran
In 1992, Netanyahu addressed the Knesset and claimed that Iran was 3 to 5 years away from a nuclear weapon. In 1996, he addressed a joint session of Congress and stated that they were "extremely close". Da' ya' see a pattern here, folks?.......................................................................................And like I said in a previous post, the actual evidence is paltry. a) Our own intelligence community (I guess that there are
close to 20 agencies now) has essentially admitted it
(http://www.newsweek.com/intelligence-agencies-say-no-new-nukes-iran-79143).
b) The Iranians have consistently complied with both the
nonproliferation treaty and the safeguards agreement that had been put
forward by the I.A.E.A.. And c) the Iranians have only been enriching
uranium at the 3.6% (for industrial electricity) and 20% (for a few
medical isotope reactors) levels (over 90% enrichment is needed for a
weapon and that doesn't even address the equally sticky issues of
warheads and delivery). If you're asking for my opinion here, this is just Netanyahu politicking again and hopefully the President still has the balls to stand up not just to him but the neocons, too.......................................................................................P.S. I understand that former Israeli ambassador to the U.S., Michael Oren, will be challenging Netanyahu for the Prime Ministership this year. Please, do consider me a supporter.

America worries about safety....Israel worries about survival.
Will....you seriously don't trust the mullahs in Iran? Do you for one minute don't think if they got the bomb....they wouldn't use it.
As for Rusty,I'm putting my chips with Israel....not Iran.
Good homework, you got it.
Did you see the Dear Tehran letter 47 dumbass republicans signed and sent to Iran.
Seriously, the republican party exemplify the Dumbing Down of America.
In the effort to slap at President Obama they committed unconstitutional acts and broke with two centuries of protocol.
I doubt I will ever vote for a goddamn republican for national office ever again.
Slime balls, each and every one of them.
Before RN strokes out....he should know Ted Kennedy did the same thing in 1979 with the Soviet Union and former dem speaker Jim Wright also did it.
Oh yea.....Rand Paul signed the letter.
Russ, Israel has 200 to 300 nuclear weapons as well as that defense shield. I think that they're gonna be fine.
Will,if you were living there and not Conn. perhaps you would think just a bit differently
Frankly Shackleford I do not give a good g-damn about the past.
Do some g-damn research, provide a link to exhaustive material on 1979 and T. Kennedy. And I might when I get a chance look at it and compare similarities and DIFFERENCES.
In the meantime what the shit bags, (this includes Rand Paul and he will NOT be receiving my support as a result of it) did was nothing short of treasonous.
I'm not a big supporter of Obama, Russ (you know that, right?), but on this one I think that he's basically correct (choosing the best of a shitload of bad options) in that sanctions tend not to work (a reference to Cuba, South Africa, Iraq, etc.) and a war with Iran would be absolutely cataclysmic. That, and I don't want Netanyahu dictating policy here.
RN is free to lend his "support" with whoever he chooses....I doubt if the Republican party will miss him.
In 1979 Ted Kennedy's staff (on behalf of him) sent a formal letter to the leadership in the Soviet Union asking for their vocal support if Kennedy would challenge Reagan. This is an undisputed fact.
So....if Tom Cotton is to be considered un-American,I guess so would Teddy.
Pelosi meeting with Assad in 2007 (and the Republicans attacking her) is another example of how the roles have seemed to reverse.

Now that the shit stain 47 has managed to put American credibility on the line, who's going to trust us, I hope the neo-con renegade party is happy.
Anti American if I've eve seen anti American, that's for damn sure.
As usual Shackleford sticks with false equivalence and evasion. BTW dusty Rusty, still waiting fo that link.
Go find the link yourself potato head.
Once again the left run's around like Chicken Little over an absolute non-issue.
"Hurry Henny Penny the sky is falling." American as we know it is no more, this letter will have ramifications for the next two hundred years.Everyone who signed should be put in shackles.
This story ranks right up there with Christie's bridgegate on the give-a-fuckometer.
Rusty: the "47 Traitors' thing reads like a DNC campaign ad. And with a few exceptions, it plays the the choir. Just like a DNC campaign ad. And those on the Left who supported David Bonior buddying up to the Soviet dictator in Nicaragua in the 1980s are such hypocrites now. "Dear Commandante", anyone?
And any claims of the 47 being "anti-American" are meaningless and echo McCarthy.
And as amply pointed out by a lengthy record of history, it sets no precedent. It will likely be buried by the end of the month by another manufactured outrage by the Dems.
Dems all the more desperate with their great hope, Hillary, once again drowning in crime and scandal.
