On the Fact that the U.S. Has Reduced its CO2 Emissions by About 400,000,000 Tons Without a National Policy Aimed at Doing so and at Faster Rate than a Lot of Countries that Do Have Such a Policy
The fact here is that the U.S. has been decarbonizing for well over 100 years now (from wood to coal to oil to natural gas to nuclear, with some hydro thrown in for good measure) and we really don't need a bunch of government bureaucrats to tell us that this as a good thing (not from an emissions standpoint but from an efficiency one). I mean, how insulting is that?

A cross between the Peter Prinicple, "With great power comes ridiculous arrogance", and "Give a child a hammer, and he'll find no shortage of things to smash".
Explains why the government does so much of what it does.... from Obamacare to the MIC to "climate change " policy.
Education and housing they've also loused up pretty much.
Some things deserve to be "smashed".
Government should concern itself with insuring individual liberties while at the same time concerning itself with advancing and protecting the public welfare.
Find a formula for doing both that sooner or later doesn't conflict.
Good luck.
