On the Fact that the Roosevelts (Teddy and FDR) Actually Thought that a Small Cadre of Economically Illiterate (FDR Actually Going as Far as to Utilize Social Workers on His Policy Team - Social Workers!!!) and Buffoonish Bureaucrats Could Manage the Largest Economy in the World Better than the Businesses and Consumers Themselves

I'm gonna go with, borderline insanity, on this one, folks (the fact that you would have to be seriously off kilter to think that a small group of individuals would possibly have the requisite knowledge to interpret massive amounts of economic data involving multiple sectors, thousands and thousands of businesses, millions of potential interactions, make predictions based upon this data, etc., and to do all of this without the necessary profit and loss mechanisms and pricing feed-backs).
