On Whistle-Blowers

I guess that they're only heroic when the implicate (and/or make trouble for) Republicans.

Lying isn't heroic.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

wd is accusing dozens of brave public servants of lying when he has absolutely zero evidence to do so, just because the President has a D in front of his name.

Rusty Shackelford said...

And what response were you looking for from the resident greasy bastard.

The poor guys parents really did a number on him....you can see the results of them dressing him is girls clothes and sending notes to school trying to get the poor tyke excused from gym class.

w-dervish said...

I have evidence. Katherine Eban researched it and published it. You're accusing Katherine Eban and the AFT agents she interviewed of lying just because you're buying the Repubican lies regarding this "scandal". And WHO are these "dozens" of "brave public servents" you refer to? I know of only one, and that was the only one I was referring to.

Also, Barack Obama doesn't have a "D" in front of his name. The "D", "R", or "I" (signifying party) always goes AFTER the name. I've never seen it in front.

w-dervish said...

Yes, Rusty we all know you're a misogynist who believes male is the superior sex... who else but this type of bigot thinks saying a male has female attributes/dressed as a girl is the ultimate insult?

And Will is slandering Katherine Eban as a liar just because she was a Hillary supporter and a Democrat. In his mind that means she's a guaranteed liar.

And you accused the agents Katherine Eban talked to (the ones that said there was no gunwalking) of lying. I suppose they're cowards? Unlike the ones who agree with you.

Dodson appears to have been covering his own ass (as he walked guns without permission). So he says he was ordered to. Maybe he'll be indicted.

Rusty Shackelford said...

Was'nt ment as an insult greasy. If you took it as one thats your issue.

I was just making a point at what possibly,or probably caused your present day problem.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

There were dozens of whistle-blowers that CBS News and Senator Grassley interviewed and they all had the same identical story. Eban is a partisan liar who is trying to resurect this Attorney General by believing the man who is unarguably most responsible for this major fuck-up, Mr. Voth.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

And if some hard-core partisan right-winger had done a "story" in which he or she believed everything that Oliver North had said about Iran-Contra, you'd have believed that idiocy, too? Interviewing people most responsible for a screw-up normally isn't the way to go, wd. I mean, they even frigging videotaped these straw purchases. If that isn't a damned smoking gun....

w-dervish said...

I levied no insults either. Rusty being a misogynist is simply a fact -- and one that most likely partially explains his belief that he is superior to a large portion of the population.

That and money/succcess... apparently he has some (or claims to), and believes he is superior to all who have less than him. Although I wouldn't categorize working in an industry that rips off gullible people as "success".

And regarding your analysis of what's the cause of my "problem"... not even close.

w-dervish said...

Will: I mean, they even frigging videotaped these straw purchases. If that isn't a damned smoking gun...

How is that a "smoking gun"? I haven't heard about any videotaped purchases, but if there are video tapes what, exactly, do you think they prove?

They probably made the video tapes to use as evidence in a trial, but the prosecutors said they couldn't make an arrest.

Will: Interviewing people most responsible for a screw-up...

What "screw up"? There was no gunwalking (except the gunwalking Dodson apparently did)... and since they didn't walk the guns they couldn't lose track of them... so no "screw up".

wd takes blind partisanship to new heights. Well done wd, you should be proud.

w-dervish said...

I never said there shouldn't be an investigation. I don't know what's going on with this right now, but if the DOJ is still investigating (I assume they are) I may have to adjust my views on the matter when it concludes.

The Republican's "investigation" (i.e. partisan witch hunt) is over. Everything I've heard indicates that their "investigation" has concluded -- the point of it being to make Obama/Holder look bad and take a vote that was scored by the NRA... and also waste time that could have been spent on jobs legislation.

I'm only stating what I believe to be true now... given the facts I currently have. I'm not a blind partisan, therefore it's not possible for me to be proud of it.

Rusty Shackelford said...

WD said..."and reguarding your analysis of what's the cause of my problem....not even close."

Well then WD,what do you think the cause of your "problem" is?

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

You are so full of shit, wd. You say that there wasn't any gun walking and then you say that they were probably using the videotape as evidence for the guns that they were letting walk. DUH! A VIDEOTAPE OF GUN-WALKING (Sharyl Attkisson showed it on her CBS News report - CBS News, not Fox News) and you still don't think that there was gun-walking. And what about the emails? There were emails from concerned gun dealers that were sent to Voth and emails from him back to them telling them to, "go ahead, sell the damn guns." The evidence is overwhelming and still you fucking spin.

w-dervish said...

Will: You say that there wasn't any gun walking and then you say that they were probably using the videotape as evidence for the guns that they were letting walk.

I didn't say any such thing. Allowing legal purchases to proceed (which they were until they could prove otherwise) isn't "letting guns walk". They videotaped SUSPECTS, tried to build a case using the video tapes and other information they could gather as evidence, then took all the evidence to the prosecutors... who told them they couldn't make arrests.

I haven't read these emails you keep referring to, but I'd guess he told them to make the sales because (as far as he knew/could prove) the sales were legal. He couldn't advise them not to proceed with legal sales (he'd probably get into some legal trouble).

How the hell is the "evidence" overwhelming?? I think it only is if YOU spin it that way... by saying legal guns sales were "letting guns walk". Give me a break. I think you're full of shit.

Rusty: Well then WD, what do you think the cause of your "problem" is?

That's a good question Rusty. Based on the research that's been done, it looks like higher intelligence might be a factor.

Rusty Shackelford said...

Ah,Huff Post....that settles it.

So WD,you feel because of your self proclaimed higher intelligence your positions are correct...?

Does having to wear girls clothing as a youngster effected your thought process as an adult?

Has being scorned by your peers as a youngster effected your thought process?

And lastly...have you ever sought professional help? If not,why not?

Rational Nation USA said...

Well wd, ya certainly can't say you didn't have that one from Rusty coming.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

THEY VIDEOTAPED KNOWN STRAW PURCHASERS MAKING THEIR HAULS. THEY WERE LETTING GUNS WALK. You obviously didn't see the Sharyl Attkisson piece. And I fucking sent you one of the emails from one of the concerned gun dealers. You're the fucking partisan spin-meister who takes as gospel the word of a well-known Democratic operative. And who in the hell are these fucking 40 people that she supposedly interviewed? She only ends up quoting 2 of 'em. LOL

Rusty Shackelford said...

WD,Will has you dead to rights....when you're already in a hole stop digging.

Does'nt making an ass out of yourself ever sink in.

Wonder why I pinned that "Kick Me" sign on your back in school....now you know.

w-dervish said...

So, what should they have done? Made an arrest even though the prosecutors said not to? Write it in all caps, it does not change the fact that they were NOT letting guns walk. "Letting" implies that making an arrest was an option.

Also, I'm not spinning, I'm trying to educate you as to the facts of this case. Obviously you don't care. You're going to keep up your own spinning, even though this story you're spinning makes no sense at all.

Also, so what if she only quoted 2 people? The interviews with the others are what she used to write the article. What do you want, an article that consists of 40 quotes?

As for these emails, so what? Just like they couldn't make an arrest, I'm sure they couldn't tell the gun shop owners not to sell... it would be an infringement of the buyer's second amendment rights.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

a) They could have prevented them from making the purchase because these were known straw purchasers and the gun dealers for the most part didn't even want to sell to them in the first place. And b) they could have put tracking devices on these guns and also surveillance on the individuals involved. They didn't do ANY of these things, wd (and I think that I trust Sharyl Attkisson on the educational process a little more than I do you), because they WANTED THE GUNS TO WALK!!!!!!!......And the gun dealers in these emails specify that they DIDN'T want to sell to these straw purchasers. It was that idiot, Voth, who told them, "no problem, we won't let them fall into the bad guys' hands." Duh!!......And over a dozen whistle-blowers, wd. Are you saying that all of these brave individuals who were clearly putting their careers on the line are all lying? Come on, man!

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

And where did the name, Operation Fast and Furious, come from? Sharyl Attkisson? Darrell Issa? Conservative bloggers? Uh, try no. Try the frigging ATF, you stupid frigging idiot.

w-dervish said...

Where did the name, Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL), come from? Rachel Maddow? Barack Obama? Liberal bloggers? Uh, try no. Try the frigging bush Administration, you stupid frigging idiot.

It certainly is getting testy. So much for civility and reasoned debate when stupid and frigging idiot rules the dialogue.

Now back to important activity...

Rational Nation: It certainly is getting testy. So much for civility and reasoned debate when stupid and frigging idiot rules the dialogue.

I agree with you RN in your criticism of Will on this. Once in a while Rational actually is rational. Shame on Will.

Rational Nation USA said...

Actually wd I was making a general across the board comment that is applicable to most at one time ot another.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

"Where did the name, Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL), come from? Rachel Maddow? Barack Obama? Liberal bloggers? Uh, try no."............What in the hell does this have to do with anything? I've never said that Mr. Bush acted appropriately in terms of Iraq or that Rachel Maddow ever coined what it was called. A total straw man.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Sorry, Les, he brings out the absolute worst in me. I'm generally a very patient person who works everyday with Alzheimer's folks.

w-dervish said...

Will: What in the hell does this have to do with anything?

I wondered the same thing about your comment.

Will: A total straw man.

Exactly. As was your comment. I never claimed that anyone other than the ATF agents named the operation "Fast and Furious".

That's what it said in the Katherine Eban article... I guess you didn't read that part... must have been too eager to start writing your post about how she "lied".

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

So, a program that never existed had a name? And she fucking did lie!!!! She said that there were no funds and resources for gun interdiction when there was 10 million from the stimulus package alone. She said that there was no way to track the guns when you yourself said that they had taken down the serial numbers (they took down the serial numbers but they didn't apply a tracking device - duh!). And she altered the email of Mr. Voth to make him look like the hero when he is patently the villain (sliming as well all of the brave whistle-blowers who tried to halt this destructive practice). This woman is a flat-out disgrace.
