On War-Monger, Bill O'Reilly, Bragging About How We Won WW2
What did we fucking win? a) 60,000,000 people got slaughtered and b) 50% of Europe ended up as a 40-year slave-state of the Soviet Union. How can anybody in his or her right mind call this a victory?...And all over Danzig (this, while Joe Stalin was running roughshod over far more territory). Danzig!!

I'm curious what his full statement was. Technically, the US did win. "We" kicked Axis ass and came home. Usually defined as victory.
But all of your points about the "big picture" of the war, globally, are quite correct. Overall, one can summarize WW2 as a victory for the USSR, with its successful aggression and expansion at the expense of several nations: most of which were pretty much blameless and victims.
Hitler was vanquished. Mission accomplished.
And the beat went on. Korea, Vietnam, Cold
War. MIC... follow the money.
Danzig was the sole cause of WWII and slavery had nothing to do with the Civil War? Methinks it's a bit more complicated.
It WAS a lot more complicated. Britain and France giving a stupid war guarantee to Poland (one that only applied to Germany evidently and NOT Russia), Britain and France feeling threatened by the fact that the German economy was doing so well, Poland committing atrocities against ethnic Germans not just in Danzig but all throughout the corridor, Poland refusing to negotiate (in large measure because of those stupid war guarantees) before and even during the hostilities, England refusing to accept a fair peace settlement 1n 1940, FDR feeding unlimited arms to England, FDR pressuring the Poles to not negotiate, etc.. No argument here, BB.......And as far as the Civil War (which was NOT a civil war in any plausible sense of the concept), I instruct you to read again Mr. Lincoln's inaugural, in which he capitulated 100% to the demands of slavery while threatening invasion over uncollected tariffs.
