On Jon Stewart and Climate Change (What Used to be Known as Global Warming)
What the fellow knows on the subject you could fit on the back of a postage stamp. And his entire approach pertaining to it is one of pure, unadulterated genuflecting to state authority. I mean, is is obvious to me BEYOND ALL DOUBT that the fellow has never looked at the satellite temperature data (which have clearly shown no increase in atmospheric warming for 17 years now), never looked at the ARGO data for oceanic temperatures (which have clearly shown no increase in ocean warming since 2003), never looked at the global sea ice figures from the University of Illinois's Arctic Science Research Center or the University of Oslo (which both have clearly shown no appreciable change in global sea ice for 30 years), never looked at the myriad of data from across the country (I highly recommend the work of Ryan Maue from FSU and Roger Pielke from the University of Colorado) on extreme weather events (which have all clearly shown no significant changes pertaining to cyclonic activity, flooding, droughts, etc), and never even looked at the climate models themselves (73 of the 75 having overestimated the actual warming)....Not that I would necessarily ever expect this clown to be an expert on this or anything else, mind you, but a little bit of research certainly wouldn't hurt.

A man of faith, indeed.
The man is a comedian, an intelligent one at that. Funny guy as well.
BTW, did you see his recent segment? Funny stuff. Regardless of ones position on the subject climate change, or global warming.
Hate to say it but the "deniers", those who see the science as hogwash, are losing ground to the majority that constitutes those who accept the science supporting climate change is real.
Follow the money.
Indeed: Stewart needs to study in depth and get his expertise up to the level of Sean "Global warming is the biggest scientific hoax in our lifetime" Hannity.
I find him and Limbaugh not that funny, for pretty much the same reasons.
Limbaugh is a blowhard, period. Stewart is funny as well. Perhaps because there is a modicum of truth in what Stewart says sometimes.
Hannity (who I don't believe that I've ever quoted on the topic and probably never will)) and Stewart have political agendas. Mine is simply to follow the data.......As for following the money, damned if a whole big bunch of it hasn't found its way into the bank accounts of Al Gore and Geoffrey Immelt.
And, BB, even Phil Jones (not to mention nearly 50% of the American Meteorological Society) has conceded that the debate isn't "over". EVEN PHIL JONES!
Think special interests Will.
Al Goreleoni is a has been and a hypocrite.
RN: And to divorce the issue entirely from that buffoon?
If you wish dmarks.
"... no appreciable change in global sea ice..."
Tell that to the Alaskan walruses.
