On Environmental Nut-Cases Like Bill McKibben Saying that Oceans Rising Hundreds of Years From Now Are a More Important Consideration than Securing Electricity and Economic Development For Third World Countries Now
These people make me sick to my stomach and the fact that they make these proclamations from the comforts of such first world privilege makes it even more nauseating. In the words of engineer Siddhartha Shome from the Breakthrough Institute, "How can one seriously suggest that the village kid in India should give up her hopes of prosperity, education, and health care today, in order to prevent rising oceans many years down the road? What would Americans do in the same situation? Or Europeans? Or human beings anywhere?"...There's a lot of talk about racism these days, both sides accusing the other of it. To me, this is pure racism.
