I try to watch various cable news stations FOX,CNN,MSNBC and a couple others, just to try and get other points of view.

Maybe it's just my imagination but MSNBC has gone off the rails.I used to enjoy Hardball, but I think Matthews has either had a stroke or is using hard drugs. It is really awkward when I have to say Rachel Maddow is the brightest bulb there.

I mean....every story on that network is "Republican bad" or "they are racist." Its really getting creepy. How often can one listen to Howard Fineman,Eugene Robinson and David Corn? I guess their ratings reflect their programing.

I used to like "Hardball", too. Not so much anymore. I've actually been watching C-Span (1 and 2) lately and especially enjoy the fact that the hosts don't constantly interrupt people.

Their views, like those of the hilariously named 99% movement, represent the interests of about one-quarter of the population. This locks them into a small ratings box.

Its hard to imagine the people running MSNBC set the tone for the present programing.

Yesterday every show beginning with Matthews lead with the Chris Christie scandal....yes the one where Christie ordered some highway lanes blocked in Fort Lee N.J..

From the drool running out of Matthews mouth one would have thought a flying saucer had landed on the East lawn of the White House and FDR and JFK had stepped out of it.

Last time I tried to watch MSNBC, I gave Lawrence O'Donnell a serious try. At least he looks serious. Unlike Matthews, who resembles a human chimnea.

It was strictly amateur hour, nothing but moaning and whining about other news channels that get better ratings.

Joe Scarborough, Chuck Todd, and Andrea Mitchell are probably the best of the lot over there. Todd especially seems pretty decent.

Yea,but Chuck has to accept his fate and give up on that comb over.....Chuck,here's a news flash, you are bald.

Do you think Joe Scarborough is tapping that dumb blonde chick?

There's such hypocrisy on this. Democratic Party-allied groups do much worse closures, with the goal being to to stick it to the average working joe as much as possible:

and there is narry a peep. And don't forget the New York transit strike, where grossly overpaid incompetants loafed about all day, messing up workers' lives, in the hopes that they would be even more grossly overpaid. The Dems strongly supported this.

San Franscisco BART strike, anyone?

Seeing the Dems' newfound harshness on this, I welcome them throwing the book at these lazy greedy thugs in the future.

And didn't the OWS folks want to block off the Brooklyn Bridge as well?

And the sad thing is that Christie used to be the very type of Republican that Matthews used to curry favor with. I guess that it all changed with that thrill up the leg.

They are all trying to pave the way for Hillary......Christie was up 48 to 46 in the last Gallop.

And Matthews used to hate her. Remember that despicable little comment of his?

The OWS movement is all about sticking it to the working man, the 99%, while pushing for power for the less than 1% that rule.

They are America's version of the 1930s Brownshirts. Yes, they aren't nearly as bad, though, except in those instances where the Occupy movement did push for crushing the Jewish menace.
