There have been some proposals linking anomalies in the Polar Vortex to GW, along with other weather extremes, like the polar ozone depletion, but picking points on a graph can be misleading in terms of millennial climatology. Maybe by 2800AD there will be more solid data?
There have always been regional differences and there always will be but the fact of the matter is that the warming has stalled for going on 16 years now while the CO2 emissions from humans have skyrocketed. Yeah, hopefully by 2800 the knowledge will be better on the subject (a reality that will only be achieved, I believe, by keeping the politicians and scientists in separate cubicles).
