Miscellaneous 105

1) My progressives colleagues want what from me exactly - to admit that George W. Bush screwed up? Wow, that's an easy one. George W. Bush screwed up. The dude started 2 idiotic wars and an expensive entitlement program that wasn't at all paid for. But, the thing is (and I don't know whether or not my colleagues have fully recognized this still) - he isn't the fucking President anymore!!! Obama is. And it's HIM who's currently playing footsie with big business and bankrupting the country with out of control deficit spending. HELLO!............2) And I also want to challenge my colleague to follow the money. The vast, VAST, percentage of it (the stimulus spending) went to mega business and hardly any of it went to mom and pop. I think that we all just have to face it here, people. This guy is every bit as much of a crony capitalist as Mr.s Bush and Clinton were. He's just better at getting away with it.............3) Hey, I got some good news on the Haley Barbour fiasco front. It now appears that several of those convicted murderers that the dude just recently pardoned were actually black. Hm, maybe the dude isn't a racist after all. Maybe he's just simply an idiot.............4) "I don't think that President Obama 'understands' America." This is what Mitt Romney apparently thinks these days. Or at least that's what he's saying. Wow, huh, talk about offensive. I mean, who in the hell is he to use such coded language? Not that I was necessarily going to vote for him anyway; the fact that he's such a flaming phony, opportunist, etc. but to hear the guy talk like a Glen Beck clone like this is especially obnoxious. This, my friends, is one independent swing-voter who ISN'T impressed.

Funny thing Will. Obama is starting to act like the president i hoped for. Stuck it to the righties with his recess appointments.

Turns out the health care bill isn't so bad. Lots of good things.

I'm sorry buddy. Although I've been tough on Obama for not being tough enough on the righties in the past, he's figured it out. I take some credit for this as my blog, while not as outstanding as Whirling Dervishes outstanding blog, does have some influence from time to time.

I think Romney is a slimeball as you do. I don't Obama is as much a slimeball as you. Although we agree that there is slime on both of them. or "oil'as you said.

Why are you all pissed about the stimulus dude? Solyndra was a small business and got money also.

I'm not really pissed about the stimulus. It was what it was; business as usual. It just would have been nice if the money was spent to do more essential things, like improving the electric grid and an infrastructure bank. You can relax, bra. I'm still voting for Mr. Obama. I just like being a provocateur.

And Romney definitely IS an ass. When he threw that 2004 retread of a line, "cut and run", at Huntsman during one of the recent debates, I swear, I coulda' slapped him.

I think most of the money went where the pols thought it would benefit them the most in way of public relations and votes.

My plant got some. Not much but it will give somebody a nice press release.

I thought you were voting for Bloomberg? You ARE one of those very influential "swing voters"... so you definitely could swing the election Bloomberg's way, right?

Truth, Obama is a crooked politician who is going to be impeached and then tossed out of office before the 2012 election. Biden will lose to Romney (or Bloomberg, if Will throws him his support). It's all over for the community organizer.

As for my "outstanding" blog, I might quit it. Who wants to read the ravings of a simpleton partisan stooge?

Proof that I'm a simpleton is that I considered challenging Will on his assertion that President Obama is "bankrupting the country with out of control deficit spending".

I stupidly believe the deficit has something to do with the recession and the Republicans' refusal to raise taxes on the wealthy. But what the hell do I know? Perhaps austerity (which would surely throw the country into a deep recession) is exactly what we need.

I'm an admitted political hack and people read my blog. I am even missed by righties when I don;t visit their blogs for a while WD.

I've always wondered why, despite my popularity, nobody has ever taken me up on the offer to join me at Truth 101. I think I even invited you once WD and you could rename yourself Truth 102.

Oh well.

wd, did you miss the part where I blamed Bush for the 2 idiotic wars and the expensive entitlement program that wasn't at all paid for? Probably, huh? And, as you know, I'm completely IN FAVOR of the top rates going back to 39.6%. AND my version of austerity wouldn't put us into another recession unless you think means-testing millionaires for entitlements and closing foreign military bases and consolidating federal agencies (an idea that Mr. Obama himself just forward today) causes economic downturns.

Truth, I don't recall you ever asking me to join you at "Truth Shall Rule", but I am very forgetfull (so it's possible you did and I just don't rememeber). For example, I really don't remember Will blaming bush for two "idiotic" wars. As I recall, he was in favor of the first one... and he seriously berated me for wanting to try to stay out of it.

Will, I don't like your version of austerity. At least the means-testing millionaires for entitlements bit. I'm in favor of your other two suggestions.

Sorry, wd, I just don't buy into your insidious plan theory. Rich seniors can certainly kick in more for their Medicare and a reduction in their SS benefits isn't necessarily going to break them, either.
