Blockhead Aid

OF COURSE THERE WERE WHEELCHAIRS AND TEXTBOOKS (replete, no doubt, with vile anti-Semitic imagery and propaganda) ON BOARD THAT SHIP. It's like, what, these pro-Palestinian activists didn't think that the cargo was going to be inspected eventually (this, I'm saying, after repeated requests to stand down peacefully)? It would have been moronic, beyond belief, to try and smuggle in armaments in such a lumbering and provocative manner (not that Israel could have resisted NOT inspecting it - hardly)......................................................................................................Yes, Israel probably should have waited until the ship got closer in to inspect it. But, really, would the end-result have been at all appreciably different? It doesn't sound as if Congressman Frank (on Hardball tonight) thinks that it would have been. In fact, Mr. Frank astutely points out that, if in fact it were Canada harboring Hamas/its terror-cells, any U.S. blockade of Canada would no doubt be infinitely stronger than that of Israel's to Gaza. And, no, we wouldn't even have an Egypt to help us out, either.

World class commandos, like the Israeli force that landed on those ships, could have taken those ships with few if any deaths. Of course the propganda sides have been drawn with both sides screaming at the other but I have yet to hear of any actual weapons found on the ships much less used by the people who were aboard.

The flotilla was looking for a fight and Israel all too willingly jumped up to give it to them.

If there's a way to improve the blockade in a manner whereby deaths are minimized, I'm totally for it......But I'm watching the video. The soldiers were immediately swarmed upon. They were being attacked with clubs, knives, and were being thrown overboard. In retrospect, yeah, maybe they shouldn't have boarded the vessel at all and just tried to steer it off somehow. I don't know. Like I said, I'm open to suggestions......No, there weren't any firearms on board, but evidently a gun was taken from an Israeli soldier and used. This, in that a soldier apparently received a gun-shot wound.

From what I've gathered there was some provocation, but not enough to cause such a level of response.

Mike, did you see the footage? The soldiers were being viciously attacked and some were thrown overboard. And they were outnumbered. Would the police in this country have acted any differently under similar circumstances?

You're never going to get Mikey to do anything but repeat the far left talking points,he cant think for himself.Poor MadMikey is a true Obama jock sniffer.

If anyone for a minute does'nt believe the Israeli's were provoked into their actions they are foolish.

The people of Isreal face rockets lobbed by Hamas into their neigborhoods everyday, while the cowards launching them hide among women and children.

The loss of life sickens me here, Russ. And, yes, if there's a way that this Israeli blockade can be improved upon to lessen this loss of life, I am totally for it. I'm just not sure what in the hell CAN BE DONE. This when you got people who want to blow you off the map.
