The Revolving Submarine Door

According to Pentagon analyst, Winslow Wheeler (a nonpartisan who has worked for both Democrats and Republicans), it is exceedingly common for Department of Defense acquisition managers to leave the department and immediately get a job working for either defense manufacturers or investment firms and various other associations which invest in them (and vice versa). If you're ever trying to figure out why we can never seem to get any reform of this sucker or even an audit, exhibit A.

I wonder if they are collecting one of those excessive (and deficit-busting) government pensions while they are working in the private sector.

Probably and then multiply this by all of those other federal departments. Scary.

Agreed; it is one of the most egregious forms of 'networking'.
It happens from the lowest to the highest levels. I'm thinking of
an admiral that took over as CEO
of an aerospace/defense firm at 20 times the pay and an Army CWO helicopter technician who went into the private sector to make twice the money for the same job while drawing his Army pension.
It's like a big buddy club.
