Fiscally Conservative, Socially tolerant, Anti-War
Should we presume that Rushmore feature Rothbard, Hayek, Bastiat& von Mises...or the Beatles?
Honestly, BB, I'm not sure that we should even have one (though I continue to love Bastiat's, "The Petition of the Candlemakers").
Presidents - I've always kind of admired Truman and Ike, but between the former's nuclear madness and the latter's Rhine Meadows death camps, I'm not even sure about them anymore.
Hindsight... always 20/20.Especially for those of us who weren't there in the first place.Sort of like it's easy to armchair quarter back, you don't have to be the one making the decisions.Rushmore was an odd undertaking. I call it The Shrine of Presidents. A place of hero worship.I imagine Washington not approving.
I imagine as well.
