On Bush and Obama

I'll take, "The Worst Back to Back Presidential Combination Since Hoover and FDR (Who in Turn Were the Worst Back to Back Presidential Combination Since Taft and Wilson)", for a thousand, Alex.

This is a point well made Will.

Bush's second term was an absolute cluster....Obama has to be classified as a failure...except to the Kool Aide drinkers.

Look at the shape America is in.....we can thank these two.

You know, Russ, I probably could have thrown in LBJ and Nixon, too; Vietnam, exorbitant domestic spending, etc..

The country was in decent shape for about six years of the Clinton years....of course the internet bubble helped and Bush had a couple good years. Its hard to believe none of these "smart" folks saw the internet bubble and the housing bubble blowing up.

I've come to the conclusion....none of these so called leaders are actually smart.

And in terms of malaise and inflation, Ford and Carter...

Time to get out your "W.I.N." button?

Then there was the drunk, U.S. Grant, about as corrupt and inept president as there ever was.

Rusty: At least we can thank the Republicans for Obama not being worse. They forced getting rid of the worst parts of "Obamacare", blunted the damage of Obama's job-killing "stimulus", forced him to keep the middle class tax cut package in place since the early 2000's and very importantly, stopped Obama's very anti-democratic early effort to abolish the secret ballot in union votes.

At least you don't see as many farcical boondoggles as the "cash for clunkers" program since the 2010 Congressional election, and Obama's wasteful "stimulus" crony capitalism is now DOA.

Too bad, yes, these Republicans also haven't stopped Obama's zeal to renew PATRIOT.

These republicans are as, if not more responsible for the nation's fiscal problems than Obama. Agenda driven blindness seems to be commonplace in the current era of.partisan ideologically driven bulls*it. Facts can be stubborn and history has a way of sorting out truth from fiction, substance from hyperbole.

I wish I could be around 50 years from today. Perhaps then America will have accepted the truth that stars them directly in the face even today.

They are up until Jan 2009. Then your comment expires. Obama then chose to make the debt problem worse, and speed up the job-loss runaway train.

I stand by my statement.

How long will you hold onto that, though, after Obama concludes 8 years of major indicators worse than under the previous guy.

It's already pretty stale with Obama having completely made PATRIOT and the NSA situation his own.

The Republicans were responsible for the problems leading up until 2009. Obama's been in charge then, and he is responsible for the worse problems.

It's gotten to the point where I'm just calling Obama Bush 3 now.

In other words, Will, you spell "Hope and Change" with a great big "W" ?
