On the Koch Brothers Donating $25,000,000 to the United Nergro College Fund
By my count that's approximately $24,999,999 more than wd and the rest of those lunkheads (aka experts at spending other people's money) have ever donated to the thing.
I noticed that the other day. The Kochs are generous philanthropists, having donated over $750 million to cancer/medical research, the arts...even funding the PBS show NOVA.
We're all mixed bags (these fellows included) and, yeah, I absolutely give 'em some due here (just like with Bill O'Reilly and the Wounded Warrior Project).
Did I ever criticize Koch brothers for their philanthropy? If I have please provided link to such criticism.
Although reason tells me their philanthropic endeavors are carefully selected to serve their interests. IOW, where they get the biggest bang for their millions.

Democrats excuse/support all of what Soros does, while Republicans hate him.
Republicans excuse/support all of what the Koch Bros. do, while Democrats hate them.
You are right, there is little difference. Other than perhaps Koch has arrayed against them a well funded hate group that goes as far as anti-Koch movies, etc. The anti-Soros hate machine hasn't gotten that far.... yet.
The Kochs have actually donated a fair amount of money to Democrats, too (no, not lately, but maybe because that's because they've been getting demonized).
WTG Koch Brothers, anyway, men who have never tried to suppress a single vote, have never fixed a single election, and who try to impact public policy in a way that is often positive.
-------------- Will: As soon as they start donating more to Democrats than Republicans, all those on the left who hate them will shut up completely. After all, you never see WD/etc whine about the plutocratic influence of George Soros.

I just left a comment about this very subject on Lisa's blog.
You wont see Shaw,WD or RN give any credit to the Koch brothers...they will just try to denigrate them.
I wonder if George Soros would match their gift?

RN,do you often ponder the largess of the Koch brothers?
Does the FCFB allow you to ponder the largess of the Koch brothers?

I've also read entirely substanceless accusations of racism against the Koch brothers... coming from left-wing racists.
And one can find zero examples of anyone denied a vote due to the Koch Bros efforts to stop the real problem of election fraud.
The only people who have anything to fear from stopping election fraud are those who benefit from it.
