On the Balance of Nature Theory

It's an absolute myth. The fact of the matter is that the environment, the climate, and populations of species ARE ALWAYS CHANGING. I mean, I know that we like to put ourselves at the center of the universe and all but his whole notion that if it wasn't for man, nature would forever be in harmony is bullshit and the geological evidence proves it over and over and over.

True enough in general. Whether deforestation in the 3rd world
can regenerate before creating more deserts may be problematic
given the current rates.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Perhaps to deny that the accumulative effect man's interaction with his environment has on the environment is foolish at best and dangerous at its worst.

Just sayin perhaps it is too early to shut the doors.

The best way to counter deforestation in the third-world, BB, is to allow for more fossil fuels. There folks are cutting down trees to produce charcoal and palm oil for cooking and heating and these strategies are far worse for the environment than butane and propane by far.
