"I know that the decision to use force is not one that any of us takes lightly. It is no less than an act of war." General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

I suppose the application of military force is an act of war, but we have been doing it almost constantly since VJ-Day. It is so
convenient to muck around in acts
of war, with no legal declaration of war, that it has become normal.
At least this time around, every one, expert, novice, parent, congressman, hippie, soldier..is
being included in the conversation.

Still waiting on that U.N. approval, though.

Remember, WD has repeatedly insisted that the UN resolution process does not matter, and the sole decision making is done by the Sec-Gen, who issues decrees in the form off off-hand remarks during media interviews.

So, scour the news sites for this approval, when it comes. Who knows where it might turn up... be it Page 3 of the Times-Picayune, or some web page at Xinhua.
