Probably When that Idiot, Vanilla Ice, Sampled the David Bowie-Queen Classic, "Under Pressure"

What would be my answer to the question, "So, what, in your opinion, represents the lowest point in pop-music history?"

Didn't he add a stupid extra note in the middle of the main riff?

One of the best moments of the great cartoon series "The Critic" is when the blonde coffee gofer guy in the big office building once said "I used to be Vanilla Ice".

Used to be, indeed.

What about Milli Vanilli lip-synching at the 1990 Grammy Awards, WINNING a Grammy, and then having the award revoked?

And, get this...

Wikipedia says that "in a March 1990 issue of Time Magazine, Pilatus [one half of the duo] was quoted proclaiming himself to be 'the new Elvis', reasoning that by the duo's success they were musically more talented than Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger".

IMO they win "lowest point in pop-music history" award hands down.

Both worthy selections, gentlemen.
