Note to Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry

Tain't no do-over, boys and girl. You voted (to give a marginal and obviously bungling President what was essentially a blank check), AND YOU VOTED WRONG! And now you have to live with it. I mean, I'm sorry to be so blunt about it but you just flat-out blew it, kids. And especially you, Mr.s Biden and Kerry, after having already blown the first Gulf War vote, and trying make up for THAT - you have to feel like total idiots at this juncture. But, hey, don't worry, in the words of Carl from "Sling Blade". "You'll be dead soon enough and the world'll be shut a ya'."

Merely apologizing is not good enough. You are really hurting their feelings, Will.

How many comments have I made that inspired you to author a new post? Quite a few I'd bet... yet you very rarely vist my blog and comment.

I've seen your comments on many other liberal bogs. Jerry, Truth, and Sue... just to name a few. Just not mine.

Which is why I wonder why the hell I keep commenting here. I think spending so much time here is something I seriously need to reconsider.

A partial list of posts authored by Will which were inspired by the comments of w-dervish...

I am really interested to see how you get around this, Will, you Jackass.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

He's an interesting case-study, John - the prototypical true-believer/spinmeister. Liberals never do anything wrong and conservatives never, EVER, do anything right. It's kind of like I said in the previous post, it's a strange kind of hate comin' down.

w-dervish said...

Will: He's an interesting case-study, John - the prototypical true-believer/spinmeister. Liberals never do anything wrong and conservatives never, EVER, do anything right.

This is a totally and completely false statement.

My criticism of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama (see my blog) should be proof enough of that.

Apparently Will does not appreciate the inspiration I provide him and is trying to drive me away with a constant barage of insults. They have been coming fast and furious today.

I find this very strange indeed. Because every time I leave a comment it appears as though he views anything I write as me displaying to the world just how stupid I am... AND (at the same time) proving how right he is.

One would think he'd be appreciative.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

It is not a false statement, wd. Yes, you criticize Clinton and Obama BUT ONLY BECAUSE THEY AREN'T LIBERAL ENOUGH!!!!!!!! When was the last time that you criticized a progressive policy or idea? Never, huh? Because they are 100% right and the conservatives are 100% wrong. Good guys and bad guys, professional wrestling 1970s.

Beach Bum said...

Fascinating.

You know the really crazy thing, I like Joe Biden. He's the kind of person I could kick back on beach with a cooler full of beer and watch bikini wearing chicks walk by.

I frankly never liked Hillary and that story she told about snipers waiting for her and her daughter to come of the plane in Bosnia was psychotic.

And poor John, he's not even a good wind surfer.

w-dervish said...

First Will says, "Yes, you criticize Clinton and Obama..."

Then he says "because [Democrats] are 100% right and the conservatives are 100% wrong. Good guys and bad guys, professional wrestling 1970s".

Contradict yourself much? I guess it's necessary to paint me as a partisan idiot.

My political views have nothing to do with "good guys" or "bad guys"... they are based on what works and what doesn't. I'm growing a little tired of this condescending bullshit.

Also, for the record, I hate wrestling.

John Myste said...

Everyone, please, please, it's like Will always says:

Liberals never do anything wrong and conservatives never, EVER, do anything right.

Who could argue with that? Certainly not I.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

These are my exact words, wd. I said liberal and conservative precisely because I knew that you would bring up the fact that you DO criticize Democrats when they aren't progressive enough............."He's an interesting case-study, John - the prototypical true-believer/spinmeister. Liberals never do anything wrong and conservatives never, EVER, do anything right. It's kind of like I said in the previous post, it's a strange kind of hate comin' down."............You see, nothing about Democrats and Republicans.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Actually, Double b, I kind of like Biden, too. I certainly would have taken him over the lunatic, McCain. I'm just trying to get this guy to get over his cartoon-like depiction of politics. Hillary? Don't like her personally but I'm beginning to think that she might have been a better option than Obama. Kerry? Well, let's just say that he definitely blazed the flip-flopping trail for Mr. Romney 4 and 8 years later.

w-dervish said...

Will: I'm just trying to get this guy to get over his cartoon-like depiction of politics.

You should give up on that, because it's never, EVER going to happen. I can't get over something that doesn't exist.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

True believers never, EVER, recognize their affliction. They're the sane ones (they figure). Everybody else is crazy.......Dude, I was a college student in the 70s. I understand the "progressive" mindset. I HAD IT! I was a frigging Communist for the better part of 2 years. But then I grew up and understood that a lot of it was bullshit (just like a full-blown adherence to conservatism is bullshit). The world is complicated and you frequently have to a) compromise b) think outside of the box, and c) recognize that the other side has a good idea from time to time. It's a far more challenging existence but also a more legitimate one in the long run.

w-dervish said...

Will: I was a frigging Communist for the better part of 2 years.

So, it used to be that, when you walked into a crowed room, you liked to imagine who there you would send to the death camps?

But then you grew up and your desire to see people murdered went away?

Or not. Once a commie always a commie... or so the Right-wing apparently believes. Van Jones used to be a communist but no longer is, but the right-wing doesn't buy it.

dmarks doesn't buy it either. So now that you've outed yourself as a commie I presume dmarks will assume you still are a commie.

So, the question is Will, how large a percentage of the population do you want to execute?

BTW, I'm not the victim of a "mindset". Like I said earlier, I look at what works and make my decisions based on that. Cartoons don't enter into the picture.

#37927 said...

Cartoons don't enter into the picture.

But in Will's mind they do, he has proved that one.

You are arguing with a true believer in his own special ideology, that one of a true believing non-partisan who MUST equate both sides to the same thing even if it is not the truth.

Will has that shtick down pat.

No facts will ever change his rigid mind.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Yes, I was an 18 year-old Communist, indoctrinated by my college professors. Just like a lot of kids in the 60s and 70s were. But unlike a lot of these folks, I didn't go to the opposite extreme. I became a fre thinking independent who doesn't have to spin for anybody.............Gee, what a surprise, 37927/Clif/Bartlebeee/1138 is picking sides and it isn't with me. I'm impressed, though, that he was able to keep powder dry this long (the grooming process).

dmarks said...

WD: "Van Jones used to be a communist but no longer is, but the right-wing doesn't buy it."

Show me where Jones distanced himself from his genocidal kook past, and I will let it rest.

Rusty Shackelford said...

Will, how does one become a Communist for two years? Is it similar to signing a two year contract?

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

What facts are you talking bout, 37927? The "fact" that I'm a "true-believing non-partisan", the "fact" that I equate both sides on EVERY SINGLE ISSUE?......Dude, I'm not as liberal as you, so what? Does everybody have to be as liberal as you? I mean, really.............Freshman and sophomore years, Russ. By the time I hit my early 20s, I was more or less able to think for myself.

Rusty Shackelford said...

Will, you dont understand the left wing mind set, they are always getting their toes caught in their sandals and hitting their heads on their wind chimes. They would never dream of killing a convicted murderer, but have no problem killing an unborn baby. With that mind set its quite understandable how ignorant their views are.

Will, you dont understand the left wing mind set, they are always getting their toes caught in their sandals and hitting their heads on their wind chimes. They would never dream of killing a convicted murderer, but have no problem killing an unborn baby. With that mind set its quite understandable how ignorant their views are.

See, Will, We liberals are complete morons with no rational thoughts in our cute little heads. We just think what Keith O tells us to think.

We cannot even tell the difference between murdering babies and executing convicted murderers. We are so stupid that we wouldn't even want to execute condom users.

We are pathetic, really. We don't want to kill murderers. We keep them; but we don't even stop there. We legalize murder in the form of abortion, and then we don't even execute ourselves.

We tangle our toes in sandals and cannot extricate them to save our lives. It is no surprise that our feet stink. I never once thought how fresh-smelling a single liberal’s feet were and now I finally know why.

We hear chimes in our heads and don't realize where they are coming from. I still don’t know. Don’t need to. I happily dance to them without giving it much thought. Keith O never talks about chimes.

The fact that we don't always think the same things are human that Rusty does, such as a non-sentient cell mass, a blastocyst, for example, or a wart, is our main problem. You can do DNA tests on warts and blastocysts and see they are human, but us liberals don't know it. Liberals are known for ignorance of science, or just flat making things up, such as Evolution and Global Warming.

Rusty always sounds so intelligent. You would think people would flock to him like mysterious voices in a liberal’s head. I think I will find out what party he belongs to and join it. Maybe with hard work and dedication I can think just like Rusty and then I can be smart too.

Rusty Shackelford said...

John finally comes to his senses by aspiring to be the man Rusty is...good goal John, keep digging.

The liberal mind set on display...John compares a fetus to a wart...no need to wonder why their policies have failed through history.

John Myste said...

I hate to nitpick Rusty, but I actually compared the DNA structure of a blastocyste to the DNA structure of a wart. I don't think I actually mentioned a fetus.

You just assumed I was talking about a fetus, per se, because you thought you recognized the similarity between it and a wart. Your a smart guy. I will not argue about it.

John Myste said...

@Will,

Dude, I'm not as liberal as you, so what? Does everybody have to be as liberal as you?

I have found that most liberals expect others to be liberal and lose all respect for them if they are not.

Conservatives expect you to be conservative and lose all respect for you if you are not.

In Self-Reliance, Emerson said: "If I know your sect, I anticipate your argument."

There are a few liberals that are thinkers, though. Leslie "Parsley" wrote an article at Mad Mikes American condemning this phenomenon. I was going to point you to it, but I don’t have it handy. It is very good.

Fanatic liberals and fanatic conservatives are followers, which is the only way one becomes a true fanatic. There are two kinds of follower fanatics:

One, fanatics blindly follow their heroes of choice. This is by far the most common breed.

Two, “true opinion leaders,” who follow ideology to its ad absurdum conclusion.

Fanatics are not thinkers. They board a train and refuse to ever disembark. They are at the effect of their fanaticism, and rational thought never intervenes.

A quick way to measure someone’s ability to reason philosophically is to find out if you can anticipate their argument just because you know their sect.

For instance, I know that Rusty talks with his hands a lot, even though I have never met him.

The liberal mind set on display...John compares a fetus to a wart...no need to wonder why their policies have failed through history.

Actually there is Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Roe V. Wade, the New Deal in its entirety.

Democrats have held the oval office less time in the last 100 years and yet, they mostly set the pace for the nation (until the second Bush administration).

Not only have their policies not failed, but they have succeeded beyond all expectation.

You live in a country shaped by democrats.

You not liking or agreeing with a policy does not define it as a failure. In fact, if most rational people had no data other than what Rusty thinks, I strongly suspect they would agree with the opposite, no offense, sir.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Gentlemen, I consider myself a fairly strong pro-choice voter. But I'm a pro-choice voter who also respects the pro-life position. No, a fetus isn't a baby. But it isn't a cigarette butt, either. The whole thing in fact represents a very challenging moral dilemma. I guess that I've ultimately come to place more of a premium on the woman's self-determination of her own body than the rights of the fetus. At the point of viability and things like partial-birth abortion, perhaps I can be persuaded into some restrictions. I would have to see the circumstances, though.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Is it my imagination or do you 2 seem to like each other.

John Myste said...

Who two? If I am one of the two, then I definitely like the other one, no matter who he is. I like you. I like DMarks, I like Dervish, so I would have to answer yes if I am involved.

However, I don't think Rusty cares for me so much.

w-dervish said...

Will: I'm not as liberal as you.

If you are [blank] Will's opinion of you is...

Liberal: You are a Child with a Cartoonish view of the world and are not able to think for yourself.

Conservative: almost 100% correct. You are virtually perfect.

Moderate: You adhere to a superior political ideology and are totally awesome.

w-dervish said...

Will: Is it my imagination or do you 2 seem to like each other.

It's not me based on what John Myste wrote about fanatics. If he considers me a fanatic, that is. I don't consider myself a fanatic, but I know Will does. I think either one of you could guess where I come down on almost any issue though.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Conservatives are 100% correct, wd? I disagree with conservatives on a) abortion, b) civil liberties, c) gay rights, d) raising the top rates back to Clinton era, e) raising the capital gains rate to the same as other income, f) nation-building, g) the defense budget, h) extending unemployment benefits, i) teaching intelligent design in the schools, j) sensible gun laws, k) their use of the filibuster, l) states rights, m) the fact that they've been kissing the tea party's ass...............I mean, how many more do you want, for Christ?

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

I think that Rusty likes you, John. He likes people with a sense of humor and you OBVIOUSLY have one.

w-dervish said...

Will: Conservatives are 100% correct, wd?

Will: ...how many more do you want, for Christ?

OK...

Conservative correctness, revised: more correct than Liberals.

w-dervish said...

Will: ...you [John Myste] OBVIOUSLY have one [a sense of humor].

John Myste, responding to my latest post, quote, "OK, this was very funny..."

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

I just thought of three more instances where I disagree with conservatives; a) funding for planned parenthood, b) public financing of elections, and c) the proposed Muslim center in NYC. And I better stop talking before Mr. Rusty starts lumping me in with you.

John Myste said...

A lot of chatter causing us to miss what's important here:

Me.

I think here is what we have learned. Dervish doesn't care for me because he thinks I think he is a fanatic.

I think Dervish sometimes tends toward the fanatic side, but I like him anyway.

Rusty does not care for me because I am a liberal and Rusty is not allowed to care for liberals, that and because he thinks I am fanatic. I like Rusty. He is fun.

OK, the important stuff is handled and we may now return to the mundane business at hand.

John Myste said...

@Rusty,

Yes Will,I find John moderately humorus, but him being a liberal forces me to question his intelligence. But, then again he may have been brainwashed at an early age.

Actually, I used to be a republican, Rusty. To be fair, I only became passionate about politics when I switched to the correct side of the aisle, which happened very quickly once I started paying attention to what each side was really saying, instead of just evaluating how artfully they said it.

As a republican, I was not an ideologue. Republicans argued their case better at the time, and so I respected them more. I wanted Bush Sr. to win the election.

Their fundamental positions were at odds with the good of humanity, but I was not concerned with that then. I was only concerned with presentation, with how much confidence they used when they spoke, and which side was more likely to commit an appeal to emotion.

Back then, I found Republicans won on those questions, unlike now. This was back before they all went mad.

The republican agenda was always barbaric, but the agenda, per se, was not my concern, and it was certainly nothing like it is today.

I grew up and became an intellect, and as often happens when this milestone is reached, I became a liberal (oh, and I didn’t vote back then, so it really didn’t matter which side I was on).

Will said: "I just thought of three more instances where I disagree with conservatives; a) funding for planned parenthood, b) public financing of elections, and c) the proposed Muslim center in NYC."

I leave the abortion debate alone for now.

Why should taxpayers be forced to support candidates they don't agree with, say, like Pat Buchanan? I strongly disagree with this. We need less of the ruling elites meddling with choosing who will join their ranks, not more. I would zero out all existing government funding of this, and stop funding the major party conventions as well.

As for the ground zero mosque, I have no problem with calling it what it is. I would say I disagree with conservatives on it, since there should be no ban on its construction.

However, it should be pointed out that though I support it being allowed, it is overall a bad thing. Being built by an antisemitic kook. Its earlier name was "Cordoba", an announcment of aggression. Historically, Cordoba was a city in Moorish-occupied Spain...a place a Muslim army conquered, a place of brutal occupation, where Islamic law was forced on people and there were periodic pogroms to keep the Jews in line.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

dmarks, I came that position very reluctantly. And, believe me, I am open to other methods of getting the dirty money out of politics.......As for the mosque/community center, I just don't like the way that people like Hannity, etc. have been jingoistically (yeah, I know, not a real word) going after it. I DO, however, agree with those who say that public funding shouldn't accompany it. I have absolutely no problem drawing the line there.
