It's Not Like He Screwed Anybody

I don't mean it to sound like I'm defending Mr. Weiner. I just don't understand why the fellow has to resign. I mean, yeah, I know, he done some creepy things lately. But, come on here. We're talking the United States Congress and Senate. Those two frigging chambers are flat-out loaded with miscreants; guys who've frequented hookers, dude's with dirty, filthy money in their freezers, for Christ. Until somebody can prove to me that Mr. Weiner did something illegal, I will continue to say what I've always said: this is entirely between Weiner, his wife, and his constituents, period..............................................................................................Oh, and, while we're at it, yes, some of what Mr. Weiner did WAS disgusting. But you know what I find even more disgusting? Rat-finks. Yeah, I'm talking about people like Pelosi and company sticking their fingers in the air and throwing Mr. Weiner overboard. I mean, you expect the Republicans to screw the dude - they're the frigging opposing party, but his friends(?)/Democratic colleagues. I'm telling you here, folks, if I were Mr. Weiner (and I'm obviously glad that I'm not - given the circumstances), I would frigging tell 'em all, ALL OF 'EM (from soup to nuts to Cantor to Pelosi), "Piss off, chumps!! I ain't going squat!!"

Will,

I said the same thing about Clinton and Republican scandals too, they need to resign for national security reasons among others.

If some private individual, company or foreign government got ahold of these pictures, emails or illicit actions they could potentially blackmail these politicians into supporting legislation harmful to our country.

This would be the primary reason, but I would agree with anyone regarding the moral and role model issues as well.

Not to mention blackmailing them for classified information they may have access to.

Isn't it all pretty much out now, Volt? And couldn't these same people also blackmail Vitter, Rangel, etc..

Remember Dukakis in the tank with the big friggin helmet on?
Remember Willie Horton?

I hereby call on Rusty Shackelford to resign his Blogger account (and all his multiple blogging identities) immediately.

He is an embarrassment to the blogging community and it would be best for him and his family if he were able to face his problems without the distraction of being registered with Blogger. His support for David Vitter cannot be justified. Rusty Shackelford must go!

Using Voltron's logic, I must conclude that virtually every single Republican is being blackmailed. Almost all support legislation that will harm our country. I think every Republican who voted for Paul Ryan's plan to kill seniors should resign immediately.

Will all Nancy Pekosi is doing is following the lead of the Speaker of the House.

Remember the shirtless con from NY, who was just looking for somebody to hook up with while he was in DC (for at least 2 years).

When that story broke Con Bohner shuffled that con out the door before the day was done. And Con Souder from Indiana was done basically the same way.

Caught playing hide the "weiner" with a staffer who wasn't his wifey, gone just as quickly.

So I guess Nancy Pelosi is just following the lead Con Bohner set.

Both those Con are from the current congressional session, hence the new standard for con critters.

For people comparing David Vitter, well I guess Mitch McConnell has different standards, and a lying cheating scum is just OK with Mitch.

I just wish that we could go back to the old days when the media simply stayed away from stuff like this.

Was John Boehner blackmailed, or did he willingly champion legislation on behalf of the female lobbyist he's been screwing around with?

What an incredible failure he has been as Speaker! He promised a "jobs agenda" but was clearly lying. ZERO jobs bills have been introduced since the Republicans regained control of the House!

IMO John Boehner should step down as Speaker of the House. He should also resign from the Senate. He needs to focus on fixing the problems in his marriage and does not need the distraction of being a member of Congress.

Give the job back to Nancy Pelosi... she was an infinitely better speaker than the Boner.

As usual WD has hit the nail square on the head.Boehner should resign immediately and I agree the House should be able to make a member of the minority the speaker.
Seeing that Pelosi has already has a shot I think the perfect choice would be James E. Clyburn (D-SC).I watched this guy on TV the other day,he's a real up and comer. He would be a shinning example of the democratice party, what a speaker this guy is and smart....oy vey he's a bright one. He's the guy for me.

Just when you think it cant get any worse for Anthony Weiner....boom goes the dynamite.

The ex-porn star he was texting hired Gloria Allred today.

His wife got home today after making a 12 plane ride with Hillary Clinton.

Nancy is the $7 Trillion Dollar Woman. That's the debt she has presided over. Also she is another one of those who can be counted on to vote against the public interest most of the time.

As for Mitch McConnell, I heard him on an interview yesterday. He is too dumb to pronounce "social security". And there comes a time when an accent is more like a speech impediment or ignorance. Is it that hard to say "private" instead of "provvate" ?

Dervish Sanders said...

7 trillion dollars? Are you talking about money that went to fund bush's illegal wars? I agree that the House should have stood up to bush and refused to fund his illegal invasions... but the Democrats didn't want to appear to be "weak on terror".

So what about the Boner? He isn't doing jack squat to oppose Obama's Libya incursion. Another good reason to dump him as speaker. He should have been outta there more than a decade ago... remember it was the Boner who passed out checks from big tobacco on the House floor. In addition to cheating on his wife and lying about instituting a "jobs agenda" when he took over Congress... the Boner is out-and-out corrupt.

Nancy Pelosi, on the other hand, can be counted on to vote in favor of the public interest the majority of the time. I am hopefully that she gets her job back in 2012 after Barack Obama is elected to a second term.

I'd have supported Anthony Weiner for Speaker if he hadn't resigned. He was a great champion for the average American.
