Clift and Garbo - The Dream Team

Her career was basically over (far too prematurely) by the time that his has got started. Still, though, folks, I would have loved to have seem them act together (two of the finest actors to never have won an Oscar), something along the lines of a "Sunset Boulevard" or something. And you know what else, maybe even a Will Hart could have directed it. Huh?

Never really understood what happened to Garbo, she was a beauty though.

I think, double b, that she just got burnt out and disenchanted by the whole Hollywood scene and walked away. Her career was incredible as it is. But it's frightening to think of what she ultimately could have accomplished.

I went and looked at Garbo's filmography... I haven't seen a single one of her movies. I don't see any that jump out as interesting looking either.

She lived to be 84 while he died at 45. If you think you could have directed a movie with these two in it... you must be at least 80 years old...

Is that why you'd be willing to consider subjecting tomorrow's seniors to the de facto death panels in the Ryan budget?

I'm in my 50s, wd. The reference to my directing a movie with these 2 luminaries in it was only a fantastical assertion. Among Garbo's MANY classic fims, my 2 favorites are "Queen Christina" and "Grande Hotel".......As usual, you misrepresent me. I DID NOT say that I was "considering" Mr. Ryan's plan. I said that I liked AN aspect of it but that it ALONE was not sufficient. Please, I ask yo to read more carefully.
