Miscellaneous 56

1) I always kind of thought that Pawlenty was one of the more reasonable potential candidates (for President) on the Republican side. But, lately, I'm not entirely sure anymore. For one thing, he's been pushing around this hackneyed bromide about majorly altering the 14th Amendment - playing, clearly, to what seem to be the nativists out there. That and, yes, now, NOW, he apparently wants to frigging bring back DADT. Wow, huh? Talk about yet another frigging SOB who'll do or say frigging ANYTHING!!............2) One of the best questions of all time came from the mouth of columnist, Margaret Carlson. Carlson, speaking around about 8-9 years ago now (on the eve of the 2nd Iraq War), queried this: "Did Saddam Hussein create Iraq, or did Iraq create Saddam Hussein?" I found this question perceptive in that it a) recognized that Iraq was essentially a pre-fabbed country and b) also recognized that it was a multi-ethnic country whose population had in fact been hostile for centuries.....Why do I bring it up now? Well, because of Egypt. I mean, I know that Egypt doesn't have the history and population diversity that Iraq had/has and all but, still.............3) Laura Ingraham, like a lot of partisan stooges out there, has a flat-out tendency to project. Take, for instance, one of her recent appearances on the "O'Reilly Factor". It was right before Mr. O'Reilly's big interview with President Obama and get this. Ingraham actually started coaching Mr. O'Reilly, "Don't let the President go off on one of his filibusters, Bill."...The President talks too much - that's what she was saying. The President talks too much. HE TALKS TOO MUCH? I mean, am I the only one who sees the irony here?

Pawlenty is Roment-lite, just for the health of the republican party I hope they do generate some new blood.

I think, in the long run, Egypt will be fine. Of course the republicans, neocons, and Israel are going to whine because our dictator is now unemployed and actual democracy in that country might mean a government that will not kiss our collective asses.

Ingraham is shrill bitch who wears her faith far too much on her sleeve. Must be hell playing third fiddle to Courter and that truly insane Malkin.

Hate and vitriol rule the republican party.

If you're gonna make it through Iowa you gotta hate Gays and Mexicans and suck the penis of Reagan's ghost.

Destroy Social Security if you want. Send Troops to countries that were no threat. Continue the spend and borrow policies Reagan.

But dammit Will! The gays and Mexicans and Liberals are what's destroying our Nation and economy. Screw the unions also even though only about %7 of the American workforce actually belongs to a union now.

Damn. I can talk the talk. I bet I could win in Iowa if I was a republican.

It pays a helluva lot better than this Liberal blogging to.

Lawrence O'Donnell said -- on his program "The Last Word" -- that "O'Reilly interrupted the President more than 70 times (we counted)". That was because Laura Ingraham told him to?

Gallop is going to have someone count how many times the on air people at MSNBC say either Fox,Beck,O'Rielly,Hannity,Palin or Bachmann from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m..
They are then going to do the same with Fox using the key words Matthews,O'Donnel,Maddow,Schultz.

I wonder who mentions the other more?

wd, Mr. O'Reilly doesn't need any encouragement to interrupt people. He does quite nicely left to his own devices.......Rusty, fair and balanced here. I'll admit that I've also seen guys like Schultz and Matthews not let conservatives get a word out, either.
