Its burned into the record books for all time now, John Edwards is the biggest douchebag in the universe.

That man could cure cancer, bring world peace, and invent a warp drive and he will still be the man that cheated on Elizabeth.

And, really, didn't she seem like the one with the real depth, conviction, etc.?...That's at least how it came across to me.

Absolutely.

Well, wait a minute here. I can't say enough for Elizabeth E's personal courage and loyalty (to John). But she had no loyalty to the Democratic cause. If she had, she would have seen that JRE's candidacy was snake-bitten as soon as she knew about it. And stopped it. Instead, she let him continue his run. If JRE had won the 2008 nomination, we would have a Republican president now.

Well, come to think of it, maybe we do, anyway....

I voted for John Edwards in the primary and I still think he would have made a decent president. I think he would have been a more Liberal president (more Liberal than Obama or Hillary). I still admire him for his focus on eliminating poverty in the United States.

His ideas regarding how we should handle health insurance reform was the way we should have gone.

Hillary didn't leave Bill after the Monica situation, nor was she sick... so Bill Clinton has been forgiven, or what he did overlooked/ignored -- by some who think he was a good president... but John Edwards is the biggest douchebag in the univere for the rest of his life no matter what good he does (or has done)?

Newt Gingrich hasn't been rejected by Republicans (the party of family values), even though he did the same thing to one of his ex-wives.

I'm not saying I don't disapprove of how he treated his wife... I very much do. In any case, I wish him well, and hope he continues doing charitable work. He's done in politics however... unlike Newt (an individual I wish would go away).
