Miscellaneous 45
1) Man, oh, man, is that Sean Hannity dude ever predictable? I'm telling you here, folks, as soon as President Obama and former President Clinton stepped up to that podium together, I knew it, I KNEW for a fact that Hannity would try and make some hay about it; that the President was being rescued by Mr. Bill Clinton, yada-yada. And, yes, me-buckos, it really leads me to ask out loud: WHY do we even need to watch it any more. I mean, it's not like it's "The Wizard of Oz" or anything/wears well with repeated viewings.............2) If you had to give Bill O'Reilly credit for something, it would probably have to be for the fact that all of the profits for that merchandising of his go to charity (a la Paul Newman). But, still, STILL, I still don't think that I'd ever be willing to go anywhere wearing a "the spin stops here" cap or a "please don't taze me, bro" t-shirt....You know what I'm saying here, right?............3) Could it possibly be, folks - a rift of some sorts over at MSNBC? That's how it certainly seems to this blogger at least. On the one hand, you have Chris Matthews and Lawrence O'Donnell seemingly supporting President Obama's tax-cut compromise. On the other, you have Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, and Ed Schultz (the latter two, vociferously so) opposing it. I mean, clearly, they all have separate shows and all and so, no, we really haven't seen any sparks a flying yet. The green-room/hallways, though - too bad there aren't any cameras there.............4) Speaking of Rachel Maddow, I've been getting a total laugh-attack over this most recent commercial of hers. On it, folks, she goes off spouting about the importance of "looking for all of the disparate facts", putting them all together yada-yada. Yeah, huh? I think what she REALLY meant to say was "looking for all of the facts that support my ideology and ignoring the rest."...Just a hunch, I'm saying.

Will,I hate to drop this bomb on you....but why do you think Bubba was there today?
Obie walked out to attend a Christmas party and left Bill there with the press and all the time he needed. That was either stupid or a great political move.Any way...Clinton looked like a president while Obie looked like a community organizer.
"Community Organizer" = BLACK?
I think now I understand the "Obie" nickname... "Obie" = BOY.
Also, what's WRONG with having a political ideology? I hold the ideology I do because I find that most often the facts support it, not the other way around.
In other words, I think your "hunch" is wrong.
In regards to Bill-O, does he have his own salad dressing? And what charities does he contribute to? I did a quick Google search and couldn't find any info. I'd be interested in knowing.
Bill O.contributes to wounded warriors...thats a pretty good cause...just a bit better then PETA.
O.K. you got me,I said community organizer and Obie in the same posting....OMG,am I a racist....or am I honest...which is it.
Typical left....we elected the first balck president...dont you see that we're conclusive,we accept everyone...we are color blind.
Now,they realize they elected a Harvard grad, pretty smart guy, very good speaker, great campaigner, who can energize the base, good looking, nice family, but damn it,this guy could'nt find the cheecks of his ass with both hands.Shit,he's lost...his staff is quiting,he cant speak without that damn teleprompter,Clinton made him look like a rookie today and he went to a Christmas party. Is this really the guy we saw in 2008....oh no! We made a horrible error.
Now we're all going to be called racist because this guy cant cut the mustard.
Obama meets for a few hours with the republican leaders and comes out with a deal totally skewed in the republicans favor and that's the best he could get?
Shumer offered to make the tax cuts come back for those making over a million a year and the republicans said no to that.
Obama was weak Will. Asking Clinton to come out and soothe our feelings isn't making him look less weak.
Obama leaving the press conference was an unbelievably stupid thing to do. Made him look even less like a president.
God, I wish I had voted for Hillary now.
I'll admit it, gentlemen. It (the Clinton thing) was a little on the awkward side - no question.....And as for this tax-cut deal (that none of us apparently like), I still maintain, it was more than likely this or nothing (nothing possibly being preferable - I agree)......Let's face it, my friends, Obama was in a flat-out no-win situation. He could either make this deal with the Republicans, OR he could have let all of the tax rates increase - thereby breaking yet another promise. Like a very important individual once said, he ain't in Chicago anymore.
Rusty said... Bill O. contributes to wounded warriors...
Of course, the obligatory (for a Republican) support of a veteran’s charity. I wonder if he skims from it the same as Hannity and Beck.
Unless you have any evidence that he "skims it", you probably shouldn't be throwing out innuendo like this......Look, I'm not a humongous fan of Mr. O'Reilly (he's tolerable - but only in small doses), either. But to sarcastically diminish his giving to a very reputable and important charity, I'm not entirely sure about that. You might want to reassess this one a little.
