On the Recent Lay-Offs at General Motors

Gee whiz, do you think that it might have something to do with Mr. Trump's steel tariffs (the fact that the auto industry is one of the biggest steel consuming industries, the fact that the high cost of steel has increased the price of autos to a point where many people can't afford a new car, etc.)? Basic economics (which I thought would have been on the list of required courses at Penn when Trump went there) tells me that it's a decent possibility.
