On the Claim by Some that Folks Only Go to Penn, Cornell, Dartmouth, and Brown Because They Can't Make it Into Yale, Harvard, Princeton, and Columbia
Yeah, there's probably an element of truth there but it's very unfortunate in that the differences are microscopic at best (prestige and elitism being the more critical factors, I would assert). In fact, one could make a case that you're better off going to one of the "other" four in certain circumstances; Penn's Wharton Business School being arguably the finest in the country, the fact that a higher percentage of Cornell Law graduates pass the bar on their first attempt than their counterparts from Columbia, the plethora of bangin' hot Asian chicks at Dartmouth (I'm serious, don't laugh), etc.............................................................................................Of course, if you really wanted to tip over the apple court, you could head South and go to Duke, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, etc. in that those are awesome schools, too.
