And that's exactly why we need to go back and begin treating healthcare like a commodity again (the fact that when it was market forces that determined price, availability, quality, etc., healthcare as an overall percentage of GDP was in the low to mid single digits), with cash, charity, and catastrophic health insurance (think, the 3 Cs) paying the tab. It's the only sane way forward (as in, averting an absolute implosion of the entire system).
