Yeah, that was bad. But you know what else was? Try the fact that men got drafted and served up as disposable fodder for a bunch of moronic wars (the Mexican-American War, the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, the Philippine War, and WW1). I mean, you can't cast a ballot when you're dead, right?
