On the Likelihood that the Apollo Astronauts Could Have Traveled 30,000 Miles Through the Van Allen Radiation Belts In a Relatively Unprotected Spaceship and with Relatively Flimsy Spacesuits and NOT Have Either Perished On the Trip or Gotten Sick Later In Life
Well, based on the writings of Van Allen himself, it sounds as if the odds would have been exceedingly low............AND being that no country has sent so much as a chimp within 600 miles of where those belts begin since Apollo, I, too, have a few doubts (and like I pointed out in a previous post, the government lies about everything and so why should this be any different?).
