The Dull Hypothesis

The case for catastrophic anthropogenic global-warming is one of the most pseudo-scientific (not to mention, politically corrupt) enterprises in human history. What you essentially had was a bunch of bureaucrats, politicians, reviewers, crony capitalists, and activists creating this theory out of borderline cloth and then hiring a bevy of like-minded/addicted to government largess "scientists"/lackeys to prove it. That isn't science!! Science is all about observations and data collection, formulating hypotheses empirically, and then testing these hypotheses, not to prove them but to DISPROVE them (it's a little something called rejecting the null hypothesis, Michael Mann)...................................................................................And now, of course, the whole damned thing has taken on a life of its own; entire government agencies now existing to fight something that hasn't been happening since 1998, entire departments at major universities groveling for research money (studying the mating cycle of the painted lady butterfly won't get you money but studying the mating cycle of the painted lady butterfly as it pertains to global warming will - that thoroughly corrupt it's become) to study this "something". If it wasn't so tragic (a trillion dollars down a rat hole that could have been spent to eliminate malaria, third-world blindness and provide to millions of folks clean burning and inexpensive butane stoves - this, so they don't have to constantly burn cow-manure), it would almost be uproarious.
